Generally
The performance ratio is calculated from the yield of the system, the installed DC power and the irradiation at module plane. It provides an indication of how well the PV system can convert solar energy. A typical and good value is between 75 and 85% when viewed annually. Since there are many options for influencing the calculation of this value, the calculation can be adjusted using the editor in VCOM. The current IEC standard 61724-1 is used as the standard.
Necessary data
Energy sum defined as E_Z_EVU
Irradiance data from a sensor defined as G_M0 or satellite data
Calculation basis
The smallest time span of the performance ratio calculation is one day.
Monthly and annual values are aggregated accordingly and are weighted based on the projected energy.
For premium partners: Possibility to adjust parameters with the PR Editor
PR calculation in VCOM - standard method
The standard calculation of the performance ratio is calculated using the formula below (IEC 61724-1).
