INSYS Configuration of O&M Remote Connection

    The icom Connectivity Suite - VPN is a service from INSYS icom for the simple and secure networking of locations, systems, control centers and mobile devices via a VPN network.

    Situation

    You would like to set up VPN remote access to a remote network from your Windows PC.


    Solution

    1. Installation of the OpenVPN client

      Download the OpenVPN-Client, carry out the installation and then start the OpenVPN client.



    2. Import of the OpenVPN configuration file into the OpenVPN client

      To do this, you need the OpenVPN configuration file (*.ovpn) that was sent to you by email.
      Please note that one of the two following licenses is required for access via your PC:

      426033 Connectivity Center Recurrent O&M remote access
      426034 Connectivity Center 1 year O&M remote access

      Right-click the OpenVPN client tray icon and select Import File...



      Select the OpenVPN configuration file and confirm the prompt with Open.

    3. Establish connection
      Establish the VPN connection by clicking on Connect.
      (If you have installed several profiles, please select the appropriate entry)

    You can now access the appropriate network using the provided netmapping address.
