VCOM Cloud saves your measurement data on our server. With VCOM data cloud backup, you can duplicate this data on a server (AWS), where it can be easily retrieved or pushed to additional tools. This feature allows you to:
- Receive automatic backups of your data (5-minute values, or depending on your data logger model) on a regular basis.
- Automatically enable data backup for any new systems you add to your portfolio.
- Define backup intervals (monthly, weekly)
- Choose your backup format (JSON, JSON Pretty Print)
In addition to the regular backups of your measurement data, you will also receive a short email with an overview of the data uploaded once per backup interval. In case of a failed backup, you will receive an automatic notification.
Data cloud backup must be set up for an entire partner (e.g. company or group of companies). It cannot be set up for an individual system or user. However, once it is configured, you can activate the feature either at the portfolio level or just for individual systems. Once you configure data cloud backup in in VCOM, the first backup will happen on the same day; the next backups will take place one week or month after the start date, depending on which configuration you choose.
