We want to make it as easy as possible for you to prepare for replacing your WEB'log devices with blue'Log.
Please note the following points to ensure a smooth exchange:
Before replacing the hardware
Are all inverters connected to the WEB'log compatible?
- Determine the type and number of existing inverters. You can read out the corresponding communication paths (Modbus TCP or RTU) e.g. via the configuration in VCOM (if the system is in VCOM) or in the web interface of the WEB'log.
- Check the compatibility of all inverters with your corresponding communication channels in our blueLog compatibility list.
S0 meter cannot be used for active power control
- If you have used S0 meters on the WEB'log for active power control, please note that active power control on the blue'Log using S0 meters is no longer possible due to their inertia. Feel free to contact our sales team for alternative suggestions.
WEB'log I/O modules cannot be connected to the blue'Log
- If the I/O modules are to be retained, at least 1 WEB'log must remain in the system (max. 8 I/O modules per WEBlog). If there are more than 8 I/O modules, then 2 or more WEB'log would have to remain in the system.
- If all WEB'log I/O modules are to be removed, all modules would have to be replaced with blueLogs.
After hardware replacement
If you monitor the system with our VCOM portal, please make sure that the designation of all devices on WEB'log and blueLog are IDENTICAL so that the devices can then be correctly assigned in VCOM. Please do not delete old devices, inverters or data loggers!
In order for your historical data to be preserved, we can migrate the data accordingly. Please contact our technical support via email.
